Star Ramen in Amsterdam

You can never have enough places to eat really good ramen. Especially not when a Japanese Michelin-starred chef is at the helm, as is the case at Vatten Ramen in Amsterdam.

Chef Hideto Kawahara is known for Hide Chan Ramen and Totto Ramen, which are huge successes in Tokyo, Hong Kong and New York. Three cities where they know very well what good food is all about. The new Amsterdam restaurant’s menu features some very unusual combinations. Meringue, bacon-basil-tomato and truffle ramen, for example. We are, uh, curious?
Japanese sides
The menu of side dishes is typically Japanese once again. With an enormous selection of gyoza, as well as dons (rice bowls topped with chicken or poké), onigiri, takoyaki, edamame, fried chicken and tofu. The first location is on Kerkstraat, and a second location will be opening on Zeedijk soon.
