Strandzuid opens Parkzuid in Amsterdam

If you live in Amsterdam, the chances that you don’t know Strandzuid are almost nil. For years, this has been a hotspot near the RAI, where you can enjoy sitting by the water—especially in summer. My favorite on sunny days is the sun loungers on the beach, but drinks in the evening on Fridays are always a good idea too.

And now they’re finally expanding. And when they do, they naturally do it properly: at this prime location in the Vondelpark. Does it look familiar? It might—until recently, restaurant No Rules was located there.

Parkzuid opens its doors at Vondelpark 3

That absolutely beautiful building right in the middle of the Vondelpark. With a lovely terrace and views across the entire park. Yep, that place—that’s where Parkzuid will open its doors. Sounds good, right? Even better: you can go there from early in the morning. Parkzuid opens at 10 a.m. for breakfast and closes its doors at six (Sunday through Thursday) or seven (Friday and Saturday). You can head straight to Strandzuid afterward for more drinks.

And, when can we go there? Well, now; Parkzuid is already open for business. And judging by the interior, I want to go there this week
