Take care: Lidl warns about pistachios

lidl boodschappen wagen kar groente fruit

Oh no, those delicious pistachios from Lidl — I sprinkled them over my salmon salad on Saturday — are best not eaten. That’s why Lidl Netherlands is recalling the products “Roasted pistachios” and “Roasted & salted pistachios” from the Alesto brand. So check your pantry right away.

An elevated amount of Ochratoxin A (a fungal toxin) has been found in the products. Prolonged intake of Ochratoxin A can lead to kidney disease. Not something you want.
