Airfryer recipe: salad with salmon, orange and pistachio (perfect for Christmas!)

An original festive meal that doesn’t require you to spend the entire evening in the kitchen—that sounds like music to your ears, doesn’t it? Well, yes, that’s possible if you’re eating at someone else’s house, but is dinner at your place? Then I have two words for you: Philips Airfryer. You can make an entire Christmas dinner with it. How about this delicious salad with salmon, orange and pistachio?

As far as I’m concerned, the ideal festive menu is one that doesn’t require you to spend the whole evening stirring pots, but that you can prepare quickly, while still being able to join your guests at the table for a cosy chat in between. With the Airfryer as your sous chef you’ll manage it.
Manon Van Aerschot (@macaron_manon) came up with an original starter of pheasant meatballs with garam masala and cranberry sauce, this Ottolenghi-style main course and an irresistible chocolate dessert (chocolate moelleux with Amarena cherries).
How to make a salad with salmon, orange and pistachio
- Mix 3 tablespoons of olive oil with the honey and coarse mustard. Place the salmon fillets in the Philips Airfryer and brush them with the mixture. Cook the salmon for about 7 minutes at 160°C.
- Cut the oranges into segments. Cut the beets into half-moons and finely chop the pistachios.
- Put the rocket in a bowl and arrange the orange segments and beetroot among it. Add the cooked salmon fillets. Finish with the finely chopped pistachios and beetroot sprouts. Drizzle with olive oil and season with pepper, salt and za’atar.
Manon’s tip: cook the salmon at a low temperature, so the fish retains its deliciously succulent texture.
Merry Christmas!
