The 10 most extraordinary McDonald’s restaurants in the world

McDonalds menu (1)

The standard Maccie? Oh, come on. Not at all, actually. Sure, they haven’t changed their menu dramatically over the past few decades—but they don’t need to, because every single item is a winner. In fact, I think they’d still do well if they only had the Big Mac and the Big Mac Meal on the menu.

So yes, if you consistently deliver quality products, you may need to express your creativity somewhere else. In your interior, for example. Or location. Or size. Or really, everything surrounding that menu. Fun: these are the most extraordinary McDonald’s locations in the world.

1. The world’s smallest McDonald’s, in Sweden (only accessible to bees, wasps and animals of that size)

2. Allllll aboard at this airplane-shaped McDonald’s (Taupo, New Zealand)

3. Surrounded by real (!) crocodiles in the middle of the zoo (Lisbon, Portugal)

4. The most animal-themed one (I really want to go here, by the way), in Dallas, Texas

5. McDonald’s in the shape of… McDonald’s fries (Las Vegas, Nevada)

6. Eating a Big Mac in a real, old-fashioned French brasserie (Paris, France)

7. In Subotica City Hall, Serbia

8. Naturally, you don’t go through the McDrive by boat, but through the McBoat (Hamburg, Germany)

9. Under the seaaaa at this underwater McDonald’s (Navarre, Florida)

10. For gamers: a World of Warcraft McDonald’s, at several (!) locations in China
