These 5 summer dishes will be on the table within 10 minutes

When it’s 30 degrees outside, it’s pretty nice not to have to spend too long in the kitchen, right? With these delicious and super-quick dishes, you really don’t have to. From garlic prawns to broccoli with feta: these dishes will be on the table within ten minutes.

1. Tagliatelle with green asparagus and goat cheese
This pasta with green asparagus is one of my favorite quick meals. It’s incredibly tasty, incredibly easy and wonderfully filling! All you have to do for this dish is put a pan of water on to boil, add the (preferably) fresh pasta and stir in the goat cheese. Not in the mood for asparagus? Use arugula, cherry tomatoes and some bacon bits instead—they’re super delicious too!
2. Vegan shawarma
Okay, I have to admit that I’m cheating a little with this recipe for vegan shawarma from BBQ-tijd. But it’s so delicious that I have to share it! If you make this recipe (as intended) on the barbecue, it won’t be on the table within ten minutes. We all know that lighting a barbecue takes much longer than you’d like, but you can also simply make this shawarma on the stovetop—and believe me, it’s a great dish that way too.
3. Giant garlic prawns with white wine
These garlic prawns are amazing. Buy the prawns frozen, in those large bags, and take them out of the freezer the morning before you want to eat them and place them in a bowl in the refrigerator. Then this dish really will be on the table super quickly. An added bonus: you get to enjoy the wine you use to cook them while you eat. YUM!
4. Broccoli with feta
A dish that isn’t ready within ten minutes, but even within five minutes—it exists. FavorFlav’s Wieke came across this super-quick broccoli with feta on TikTok and has been a fan ever since. Delicious and lightning-fast to make—a win-win.

5. Pasta Pesto by famous chef Massimo Bottura ***
One more pasta dish, but this one is by a three-Michelin-star chef! Massimo Bottura’s pasta pesto really can’t be beaten and is also easy to make. Perfect for a romantic evening outside on the balcony with a glass of wine. FavorFlav’s Sharon had the honor of speaking with this extraordinary chef over Zoom, and he taught her all the ins and outs of pasta pesto that you’ll want to apply at home from now on.
