These are our favorite restaurants at Disneyland Paris

Hooray! This year, Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 30th anniversary. An extra-festive reason to visit our favorite theme park. But a true foodie naturally doesn’t just want to know which attractions are worth waiting for, but above all where you can get the best food. We got you covered!

Disneylicious!

So much choice! Disneyland Paris has 59 restaurants, 10 bars and an incredible number of kiosks. There are restaurants with table service, all-you-can-eat buffets, themed restaurants, counter-service restaurants and kiosks for snacks and drinks. And people with a fear of mice had better stay home, because everywhere you’ll find Mickey-shaped snacks and dishes, such as pizzas with Mickey ears, Mickey sandwiches, Mickey cookies, ice creams, waffles… and it’s all equally Disneylicious.

Giga dishes at PYM Kitchen

The brand-new PYM Kitchen restaurant is great fun and delicious. This buffet restaurant is fully themed around the Marvel film Ant-Man and can be found in the new themed land ‘Marvel Avengers Campus’ at Walt Disney Studios Park. This campus is entirely dedicated to recruiting and training the next generation of superheroes. Just as Ant-Man and The Wasp use ‘PYM Particles’ to make practically anything grow and shrink, here you can order a gigantic pretzel, giant pasta or, conversely, mini fries from the extensive buffet. You can’t eat healthily everywhere in the park, but you can here, with dishes such as grilled salmon and vegetable noodles.

Beurre d’Isigny at Walt’s

At Walt’s ‘an American restaurant’, you dine with a view of Main Street in Disneyland Park. They serve Walt Disney’s favorite dishes here. For the 30th anniversary, the Disneyland Paris chefs have put together a menu of American dishes with a French twist. Some dishes were even created around the famous Beurre d’Isigny.

Because did you know that Walt Disney’s name was actually D’Insigny? His ancestors came from Normandy. Naturally, you can spread that delicious Beurre D’Insigny thickly on your sandwich here—in Walt’s restaurant. And that’s a good idea, because Norman butter is considered excellent, and Isigny butter is among the finest from the coastal region in northwestern Normandy.

The food here isn’t the best in the park, but the location and the styling of the rooms are great fun, and for true Mickey fans it’s an extra-special treat: you’ll recognize Mickey in many of the dishes.

Reuben sandwich in a real diner

You’ll also find Super Diner in Marvel Avengers Campus, a restaurant whose interior looks exactly like you’d expect an American diner to look. What do you eat here? A Reuben sandwich! The basis of the classic Reuben sandwich is corned beef, melted Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing, but there are various versions. Here, you eat the giga sandwich with pastrami, cheddar, cornichons and mustard sauce. YUM! A vegan version is even available (the parks offer a surprisingly large number of vegan options in general).

Pizza at Stark Factory

You can get genuinely delicious pizza at Stark Factory. At this counter-service restaurant (also located in Marvel Avengers Campus), the ‘pizzaioli’, or pizza makers, are trained to make the tastiest pizza al taglio; ‘sliced pizza’, baked on large rectangular trays. The dough is wonderfully airy with a nice bite, and the toppings range from mozzarella with black olives to artichoke and prosciutto. The question isn’t whether you’ll like it, but how many slices you can manage. Prefer fresh pasta? They have that here too.

Desserts to die for at Manhattan Restaurant

And if you’re getting a little overwhelmed by all the hustle and bustle, go for an (early) dinner at Manhattan Restaurant in Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. Set tables, attentive service and delicious Italian food. Burrata from Puglia, caponata, grilled sea bass… this is genuinely a lovely place to catch your breath. Don’t forget to look up either; the majestic chandelier evokes the New York skyline. And those desserts… Delicious! (Small side note: Manhattan Restaurant is not open for lunch).

Tips!

The Thalys whizzes from Amsterdam Centraal to Disneyland Paris in just under four hours; the Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy train station is within walking distance of both the entrance to the parks and the Disney hotels (there is also a free shuttle service). Download the Disneyland Paris app and reserve a table at your favorite restaurant a few months before departure. In the app, you can also order food in advance from several counter-service restaurants and pick it up later.

And a few more tips for Disneyland Paris: see the theater show Mickey and the Magician at the Animagique Theater in Walt Disney Studios Park, watch the evening shows Disney D-Light and Disney Illuminations on Central Plaza in Disneyland Park, celebrate the 30th anniversary with the show Dream… And Shine Brighter in the middle of Central Plaza in Disneyland Park. And go on all the thrill rides—on an empty stomach! From Big Thunder Mountain to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and, of course, Avengers Assemble: Flight Force and Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain; whooooohaaa!

We stayed at Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, a lovely hotel that we highly recommend. And as the hotel’s name suggests, it’s the hotel for true Marvel fans; everything here is inspired by Marvel comics and films, and Marvel art can be admired throughout the hotel. Plus: there are two bars here where you can happily spend some time; Bleecker Street Lounge and Skyline bar.
