These are the tastiest veggie chicken nuggets you’ll ever try
A visit to McDonald’s is never complete for me without chicken nuggets. And no, not some measly box of 9, but one of those giant boxes with 20 nuggets, plus extra sauce. Scandalous, I know, and fortunately I don’t go to McDonald’s every week either… I’m always up for vegan nuggets too, and wouldn’t you know it, I’ve found the place with the tastiest vegan nuggets ever.
And they’re not the ones from McDonald’s and Burger King, although both of those are genuinely delicious too. Snackspert tried the vegan long chicken and vegan nuggets this week and was absolutely thrilled. But the new hotspot for the tastiest vegan nuggets of all? That’s Miami Burger in Amsterdam.
Fastfood made good
The ‘health crackers’ and ‘fast-food revolutionaries’ at Miami Burger have reinvented all their favorite comfort-food dishes by making them healthier (with less saturated fat and fewer calories), without compromising on flavor. Fastfood made good, in other words. And that means everything on the menu is 100% plant-based, packaged in 100% green packaging and 100% delicious, according to the people behind Miami Burger.
The menu
And that menu consists of various burgers, side dishes such as coleslaw and corn on the cob (with a delicious garlic-sea-salt buttery sauce!) and starters, including the vegan Chick’n nuggets, truffle popcorn (!) and loaded nachos. I ordered the Crispy Chick’n Burger (€11.50), a portion of vegan nuggets (€7.50) with sriracha mayo (yes, vegan too) and the corn on the cob.
10 out of 10
The burger is delicious. Crispy thanks to the cornflake crust and generously topped with a fresh lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, vegan cheddar cheese and onion compote. You can’t really taste the ‘chicken’, but for a vegan burger this definitely gets a solid pass. And then the nuggets. 10 out of 10! Lovely and crispy, full of flavor thanks to the spicy coating and genuinely tasting like real ‘chicken’. How do they do it! Chapeau! So, give it a try and order yourself (via the website or Deliveroo) a delicious little burger tonight—and, of course, the nuggets, because you really don’t want to miss those!
