This country is getting a real Vegan Butcher

Next Sunday is not only the first day of November, but also World Vegan Day. While I’ll be paying a visit to the delicious (but certainly not healthy) Vegan Junk Food Bar, the first permanent Vegan Butcher is opening in England. A real vegan butcher!

It will be called Rudy’s Vegan Butcher, and judging by the photos, it will look just like a real butcher shop. With every kind of meat you could want: bacon, turkey, BBQ pulled pork, sausages, meatballs… But no animal was involved. Brilliant.
When it comes to marketing, they’ve certainly got everything covered, because this look is absolutely fantastic. Whether it’s actually a tasty substitute remains to be seen, of course. When everything is possible again and you have a trip to London planned, be sure to stop by; you’ll find Rudy’s Vegan Butcher in Camden. Fun detail: the walls feature paintings of animals with ‘we’re friends, not food‘. underneath them.
Is the Netherlands ready too?
It’s really only a matter of time before the Netherlands gets a vegan butcher too—we already have the vegetarian butcher, after all. And please make it a shop like this one too. Even I, as a meat lover, would go shopping there for a summer barbecue.
