Vegans share their saddest birthday desserts
Although there are increasingly more (delicious!) options for vegans, there are still people who seem to have no idea what you can actually eat. The result: the intensely sad desserts some people are served.
Take Yazmin, for example. She went to a restaurant for her 18th birthday, where she was given—yes, really—a banana slice with a candle on it. Yazmin could see the funny side and shared a video on Twitter. Apparently, this was recognisable to many vegans, because people responded en masse with photos of other disappointing (birthday) desserts.
Don’t worry: there are no sour, finger-pointing vegans here. Everyone understands that the gesture itself is incredibly sweet. But a little giggling is allowed, right?
