This is the watermelon accessory we never knew we couldn’t live without

Every week when FavorFlav’s Adeline does her online grocery shopping, she smugly tosses a watermelon into her basket. At least that way, she doesn’t have to lug it around herself. Because anyone who’s ever bought a watermelon knows they’re a pain to transport. But we’ve found something brilliant for that!

The great destroyer

They’re certainly liftable, but you simply never go to the supermarket just for a watermelon, and that’s where the major problems begin. A watermelon isn’t easy to carry when you also have other groceries, a bag or even just your car keys in your hands. Try it yourself—even Hans Klok wouldn’t know which item to make disappear first. In a shopping bag or basket, the watermelon turns into the great destroyer, smashing all your neatly selected vegetables to mush. Not exactly what you want either.

The watermelon bag

But today my eye fell on a bag that suddenly made me want to go and buy a watermelon at the supermarket or market. In person, no less. The design comes from Tokyo-based Tsuchiya Kaban, and the watermelon bag is made of incredibly luxurious leather. The catch with the bag: it isn’t available in stores. I’m extremely disappointed. So now we just have to wait until one of the giants (for some reason I’m suddenly thinking very strongly of Mango) puts a quick copy online.
