Right in the city centre, with a large terrace and a choice of 21 restaurants. In Eindhoven, the place to go for this is Down Town Gourmet Market.
Since April, Eindhoven has once again been home to a food hall. We already had Vershal het Veem, where you could get delicious fresh trout and herbs. Now there is also Down Town Gourmet Market, which, unlike the other hall, is located right in the city centre. The food hall stands out even more because the drinks are brought to your table and the tables are cleared again

Restaurants
The hall is home to a total of 21 restaurants, all offering different dishes. There is a great variety of cuisines. You can enjoy pizza from the Italian wood-fired oven at Pietze, Japanese food at Miss Temaki, and Ziya’s is the place to go for a piece of baklava and other Turkish delicacies. MasterChef fans among us will also spot a familiar face in the hall. Former contestant Patrick Cuevas, a true Eindhoven native, is also represented here with his own stand. At Spado Food, you can have hearty soups from both the Spanish and Indonesian cuisines, such as soto ajam or sopa de garbanzos con chorizo. You can also get quick bites such as saté or albondigas (meatballs).

Location
There are plenty of seats in the hall, so you can sit at one of the bars by the stands or at the wooden tables located both inside and outside on the terrace. Another plus: its location right in the city centre. Slightly hidden behind Happy Italy, but only a few metres from Catharinaplein (and the Heuvelgalerie). Down Town Gourmet Market is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 12 noon until midnight. And if you stop by, don’t forget your debit card, as you can only pay by card here.
