Tony’s launches new Christmas bar

We’ve only just recovered from the Sinterklaas madness and boom, we’re charging straight on into Christmas. And so is Tony’s Chocolonely. Because after the white chocolate letter with pepernoten, it’s now time for a new Christmas bar: the 51% dark chocolate bar with mint candy cane.

Opinions in the FavorFlav editorial team are somewhat divided. Because the combination of mint and chocolate, you love it or you hate it. I’ll give it a miss, but After Eight lovers couldn’t be happier.

Candy cane

The bar is filled with pieces of candy cane—you know, those white-and-red-striped sticks with a sweet peppermint flavour, or candy canes. At Christmas, many a tree is covered in them. And hey: this new bar also has a hole, so you can hang this chocolate tree in your own Christmas tree, among all your edible and drinkable baubles.

Milk mulled wine

And what about the milk mulled wine bar? It’s staying. The dark chocolate version will simply join its little brother on the shelves. In the meantime, I’m patiently waiting for the 2020 chocolate tree. My guess is a white one. Perhaps with pine needles and cranberry?
