Unlimited wine tasting? Here’s where you can do it!

Any wine lover has probably done it at least once: a wine tasting. But swirling, smelling and tasting top wines without limits? That’s a rarer treat. From June 25 through 30, Amsterdam wine bar Shiraz is opening a pop-up where you can do just that. Cheers, we’re already going to camp out in front.

If, like us, you enjoy a glass of wine (or more), then this wine tasting is the place for you. This isn’t about tasting a small selection of wines, but an unlimited number of glasses at your service. Ah, the wine gods have answered our prayers.
All for the literature
‘How, what?’, you’re probably wondering. Well, here’s the deal: Masters of Wine (the highest attainable title in the wine industry) Frank Smulders, Job de Swart and Cees van Casteren are working on the Wijngids. This must-have little book (you really must have it!) features four hundred wines under twenty-five euros, with top-notch value for money.
No waste
And to arrive at the 400 best, of course you have to taste them all. That’s what the men did. Three glasses from each bottle, to be precise. A very nice side note: we’re talking about more than 4,000 bottles of wine here. And naturally, that leaves quite a bit over.
The owners of wine bar Shiraz caught wind of this and are therefore organizing an unlimited wine tasting at College Hotel Amsterdam, so none of the wine goes down the drain. And hey, if we can help combat waste, we’re more than happy to do our part.
There are 350 tickets (€25.00 per person) available per day, allowing you to taste without limits.
