At the FavorFlav editorial office, we’ve all worked in hospitality for shorter or longer periods, so these kinds of jokes are a real trip down memory lane. Especially the famous hospitality after-hours drinks — one of the things hospitality staff missed most during the coronavirus pandemic — became even more fun because of them. Okay, here they come…
Hospitality pranks: the gift that keeps on giving
1. ‘Send the new person to look for a glucose sieve to turn sweetened whipped cream into unsweetened whipped cream.’ And a glucose sieve, hahaha!
2. ‘During the monthly stock count, have someone count ice cubes and remove the rejected ones.’ Nooo, how mean!
3. ‘Send someone to fetch whipped-cream seeds. Once they’ve picked them up, have them put them through the milk on their return and whip it.’ I would seriously fall for this, I think.
4. ‘Have the new intern look for a lemon pitter.’ Honestly, that could actually be useful.
5. ‘Count the rice to make rice pudding.’ How long would someone have spent on this?
6. ‘Have someone look for the pineapple press.’ Hmm, that sounds like a brilliant invention!
7. ‘Send someone to get sparks from Bougies candles for the electric stove.’ Umhh…
8. ‘Have someone call the produce department to ask whether they still sold horse droppings.’ Hahaha, gross!
9. ‘Send your new colleague to get a caffeine filter for decaf coffee.’ HAHAHA
10. ‘Have someone finely chop flour…’ You really couldn’t fall for that one!
