Who will be Tabasco’s Hottest Chef 2020?
The Tabasco Hottest Chef Competition is starting again. And good news: this year, everyone can take part! Amateur cooks, chefs, or just huge Tabasco fans: submit your hottest dish and win!
Spice it up
The Netherlands is eating increasingly spicy food. We’re no longer afraid of a spoonful of sambal, and even here in the newsroom, we no longer eat crackers with cheese and hummus without a generous dollop of Sriracha on top. But kale and the bitterballen? Apart from the hitterbal, they’re still a little boring. Traditional Dutch dishes could use some more pepper up their asses, and Tabasco is challenging you, Tabasco fan, to serve up your favorite Dutch Tabasco dish.
The rules
The rules are simple. Submit a dish (with a photo and description) on the website. Your recipe only has two requirements: it must be a Dutch dish, and the ingredients list must include Tabasco Red, Green, Chipotle, Habanero and/or Sriracha. Use as many local products as possible and give them a kick!
The five-member jury will invite the 10 hottest entries to prepare their dishes for the jury on May 12. Are you the hottest chef? Then sign up quickly before April 1!
The winner will receive a free trip to Avery Island in Louisiana, America, the home of Tabasco!
