With this one ingredient, you can turn instant ramen into a complete meal

Instant ramen, no matter how unhealthy it is for you; I’m honestly a little addicted to it. But calling it a complete meal… Not really. It’s mostly a lot of salt and lacks vegetables and protein. Of course, you can add those yourself, and especially if you’re looking for the latter, I have a great ingredient for you to turn instant ramen into a complete meal.

Because let’s be honest: your instant ramen should remain exactly that; instant and as easy as possible. So there should be as little cooking involved as possible.
There’s a good chance you already have this ingredient at home
Maybe you’ve never thought of it before, but (the contents of) a can of tuna can really work wonders for your instant ramen. Of course, there is a lot of variation in the quality of canned tuna; here at the editorial office, we like to buy the sustainable tuna from Fish Tales. But this food hack really is the easiest ever: drain the tuna and add it to the ramen when it’s ready. That’s it; your ramen is instantly much more filling, you get more protein and it feels much more like a complete meal. Add some spring onion and sesame seeds to finish it off; don’t do anything else.
Fry the canned tuna first
If you want to take it a little further, you can do that with a can of tuna too. Don’t add it only when your ramen is already ready; fry the tuna briefly first and season it well. For example, add some gochujang, kimchi or herbs of your choice. Once you’ve fried the tuna properly and the seasoning is evenly distributed, you can add it to your ramen. It may take an extra three minutes, but it makes your instant ramen even more special than the method above.
