Woman fries chicken drumsticks on the train: reactions are not tender

Remember the guy who fried cheese soufflés in his air fryer on the train? Apparently, more people are choosing a train carriage as their kitchen. A TikToker has now gone viral because she fried chicken drumsticks in a pan on the train. But the reactions have been anything but tender. Are we starting to get a little tired of these kinds of stunts?

The TikToker in question—Isabelle Joëlla—has shown off her cooking skills on the train before. For example, she previously made noodles with a friend. Remarkably, the reactions weren’t nearly as negative then. People even made quite a few jokes about it. Her new video, however, has received a very different response.
Frying chicken drumsticks on the train
The video is practically a tutorial in itself. Isabelle Joëlla demonstrates not only how she fries the chicken drumsticks (in an electric pan), but also how she seasons them. She shows how she marinates the chicken in a coating of oil, soy sauce, five-spice powder, paprika and her secret ingredient: Slap Ya Mama Cajun seasoning. Sounds delicious to us! She also considers hygiene, putting on plastic gloves while marinating. Her fellow passengers, on the other hand, get a little less consideration.

In the video, another passenger can be seen asking whether she is being careful with the pan. She assures them that she is.
Selfish, or is she doing nothing wrong?
The vast majority of commenters on the video are unhappy with what they see. ‘SO SELFISH, how do you not realize that’, ‘I really wouldn’t be able to handle the smell on that train’ and ‘What about—and this is just an idea—NOT cooking on the train’ are just a few of the negative reactions. Someone also wonders what NS thinks of it. ‘@NS is this allowed? Cooking on the train. Seems very dangerous to me.’
The TikToker herself says she doesn’t feel that she is doing anything wrong. According to her, NS’s rules do not say that what she is doing is prohibited. But yeah… The regulations also don’t literally say that you can’t use a gourmet grill on the train or open your own snack bar in the carriage. You simply don’t do it. Right?
Just don’t do it
NS’s rules do, in fact, state that you must not inconvenience other passengers on the train. And that is exactly what happens when you fry chicken in an electric pan in your carriage. As one commenter already said: the smell. But also the noise. FavorFlav’s Adeline previously called on people to please stop eating on the train, because of the unappetizing sounds in public. Some things are simply too selfish to eat in public. Doesn’t spiced chicken—and especially frying it in the carriage—fall into that category too?
By the way, I would call my snack bar on the train ‘The Oiled Machine’. That seems pretty cool to me. And then I’d simply offer everyone a snack. Let’s see if there’s still anything to complain about.
