WORSTPOST by Brandt & Levie: a responsible sausage package through your letterbox

Worstpost deurmat

Last week, cheese plopped through my letterbox (a cheese subscription—have you tried it yet?) and now sausage has landed on the doormat. Because Amsterdam-based sausage makers Brandt & Levie have launched WORSTPOST: a gift box with three sausages made from well-raised pork.

As chefs, Geert van Wersch, Jiri Brandt and Samuel Levie made their first sausages in the kitchens of Amsterdam’s hospitality industry. That’s where their love of sausage began. To learn how to make the best dry-cured sausage, they travelled to Italy. In the country of the finest cured meats, they apprenticed with renowned butchers such as the Savigni family and Dario Cecchini.

But perhaps they learned the most from Carlo Petrini, founder of Slow Food International. An organisation committed to good, clean & fair food. In the meantime, the men saw that much sausage is made from pigs that have had a poor life. That had to change. A good life for pigs ensures good-quality meat.

Small sausages, great enjoyment

Brandt & Levie sausage makers work exclusively with well-raised pigs. These include their own pigs, raised by friendly farmers, and organic pigs from the Netherlands. All farms meet the highest animal-welfare standards. The entire pig is represented in the range—and therefore also in the new WORSTPOST.
Forgot a birthday? Looking for something fun to put under the Christmas tree? With WORSTPOST, you surprise someone with the taste of better meat. Enjoying the best sausage responsibly—I think it’s a great idea. A limited-edition December version is available: five sausages with luxurious surprise flavours and festive labels for your Christmas tree or sharing platter.

Order WORSTPOST

Order WORSTPOST before 12:00 and it will be on your mat the next day. WORSTPOST costs 12.50 euros plus shipping. The special December edition costs 19 euros plus shipping). Available to order at brandtenlevie.
