Wow: Burger King is opening its very first vegan location next week

What a week: just as McDonald’s announces that they’re putting their first vegan burger on the permanent menu, Burger King takes it one step further: they’re simply opening their very first completely vegan location. Whuut. I didn’t even know Burger King had so many vegan items on its menu. There’s just one downside…

This location won’t be in the Netherlands, but in England. Bristol, to be precise. Burger King previously opened a completely vegetarian location in England: that was in London, at Leicester Square. But now they’re taking it one step further and making it completely vegan. Love it.

This is what’s on the menu at the vegan Burger King

No fewer than 24 items, and all completely vegan. I have to say, I’m impressed. The menu also includes a number of new items, such as the Bakon King, with vegan bacon indeed. For their vegan cheese, they’re working with Violife, and their vegan bacon comes from La Vie. I’ve never tasted vegan bacon, but this has definitely piqued my interest… Maybe I should plan a little trip to Bristol after all.

They also have the Vegan Royale, the first 100 of which they’re giving away to customers as a gift. If you’d like one, you’ll have to be quick: this vegan Burger King opens its doors on October 26.
