Wow, that’s delicious: this spread tastes like semolina pudding
Mona’s semolina pudding with redcurrant sauce has been the Netherlands’ favourite pudding for more than 30 years. I don’t know anyone who has never eaten it. Do you also love the taste of semolina pudding? Then we have good news for you. There’s a spread that tastes exactly like it!
At the FavorFlav editorial office, we can’t get enough of pistachio cream and hazelnut cream. And every other variation of spreadable nuts. So when we saw this jar in the shop, we naturally had to take it home. Almond cream—how delicious does that sound?!
Amorelli almond cream
When you open the jar, you immediately notice that it’s incredibly runny. So you first have to give it a good stir. And then a bite… eyes closed… does it taste like almond biscuits? Like the inside of a Raffaello? Like liquid marzipan? They all come close, but we taste the most semolina pudding in it.
Not cheap, but very tasty
For a 190-gram jar (with 20% almond), you pay €7.95. That’s quite expensive. Fortunately, it’s so sweet that a thin layer on your bread is enough. Also delicious: a small spoonful stirred into your yoghurt. Or a little spread on your banana bread… mmm!
