Yes, the Netherlands now has a real peanut butter bar

Pindakaas

Not a cocktail bar, not a coffee bar and not a karaoke bar either. No, the Netherlands now has a peanut butter bar. Where you can, yes indeed, pour your own peanut butter.

Not into a flute, vase or mug, but into a glass jar. You can then fill it with your favorite ingredients. A kind of DIY peanut butter, in other words.

Toppings

The bar is an initiative of the Pindakaaswinkel. Why? ‘We get lots of flavor suggestions and notice that everyone likes something different. At the Peanut Butter Bar, we offer the opportunity to create your own flavor with dozens of toppings,’ the Peanut Butter Bosses say on Facebook.

How about, for example, salted caramel peanut butter with Bastogne biscuit? Or plain peanut butter with Oreos? Prefer something savory? You can also choose chili pepper peanut butter or basil and thyme, co-owner Chiel Spruitenburg explains in Het Parool.

Own label

Managed to make a choice? Then you can have your jar personalized with your own label. Not very inventive yourself? Just like in the regular Pindakaaswinkels, jars with fixed flavors are also available (€6.50).

Also useful to know: where exactly is it? In Amsterdam, at the Flower Market, Singel 500 to be precise.
