You really want to try PNUTS’s new peanut butter

BROODJE PINDAKAAS

Are you just as crazy about peanut butter as we are? Then we have some good peanut butter news for you. A new peanut butter has been launched: PNUTS organic peanut butter. And besides the original, there are also two other flavors: coconut-chili and salted caramel.

Unlike many peanut butters, PNUTS peanut butter is not made from Chinese peanuts but from peanuts from America. In Aalsmeer, at the same production facility as De Pindakaaswinkel. These peanuts are named after Virginia, the American state in the United States where they are grown. (And did you already know this about peanut butter?)

Palm oil-free

Virginia peanuts are usually eaten as they are; in America, they are a classic snack when you’re watching baseball. But because Virginias are large, deliciously fatty and full of flavor, they are also highly suitable for making natural peanut butter – regular PNUTS peanut butter is low in salt and contains (hooray!) no palm oil or sugar.

Three different varieties

  • Original: for purists. Naturally delicious with everything. On your banana (hi Elvis!), in oatmeal or straight from the jar when nobody’s looking (wait: am I the only one who does that?)
  • Coconut-chili. Exotic with a kick, and what a kick! This is spicy! Genius on your sandwich, fantastic stirred into your home made satay sauce. Delicious for dipping your carrot into. And yes, some people fill the groove of their celery with it. To each their own!
  • Salted caramel. The double sensation of salty and sweet. Is there anything more delicious?!

Off to the organic shop

PNUTS is available at various organic shops, such as Marqt and Odin, and on the PNUTS website. A jar of the original costs 3.99 euros; the other flavors cost an extra euro.
