In these restaurants, you’re served by robots

Robots that make or serve your food, or turn off your bedside lamp, say what? We already wrote about the coffee delivered by drones at Yotel, but in these other places around the world, robots also do the work while you simply watch.

Creator
This burger robot makes 350 hamburgers an hour. You choose from two types of cheese, then let them know which of the fifteen sauces you want. And voilà, the robot builds a hamburger right in front of you. The buns are freshly baked and the vegetables are sliced in front of you. Unfortunately, this burger is currently only available in San Francisco.

Naulo
At Naulo restaurant in Nepal, robots put the food on the table. You choose from the menu via the tablet, and one of the three robots serves the food at your table. They’re not fast, but it is a unique experience. Similar restaurants can be found in Budapest and Tokyo.

Spyce
Have you ever seen a robot stir-frying? At this restaurant in Boston, a robot stir-fries your meal. There are still people in the kitchen, but the robots do half of the work. The chefs handle the preparatory tasks, such as chopping the ingredients. When you place an order, a robot retrieves the portion from the refrigerator. The robot stir-fries the meal and puts it in a bowl, while a chef adds the finishing touch. When your name appears on the display, your food is ready! The meals are also very healthy and cost just $7.50 per bowl.
