10 amazing kitchen gadgets you can score on Amazon (part 2)
Today: part 2 of the series ‘amazing kitchen gadgets you can score on Amazon’. Part 2, yes, because we already shared part 1 with you recently. But you can never stop browsing Amazon, so we’ve managed to find another 10 gems.
And you know the drill: still incredibly affordable and with shipping to the Netherlands!
1. Oil sprayer (€ 9.69)
We pour oil, right? Nope, you can spray it too. The Bertolli baking sprays, which have been on supermarket shelves for a while now, are proof of that. But you don’t have to keep buying a new aerosol can every time. You can also put your favorite oil in this oil sprayer instead. Cheaper and more sustainable!
2. Clip-on colander for your pan (€ 9.69)
My fear: pouring a pan of pasta into a colander and dropping the pan. It’s never happened, but still. With this colander, I’ll overcome that fear for good. You clip it onto the rim of your pan and can then pour out the water without a care. The pasta, potatoes, or rice stay neatly in the pan. Amazon, you amaze me.
3. A garlic press, but different (€ 9.69)
I’ve had this one at home for a while. Because I’m simply incredibly happy with it, I want to share it with you. You probably know the standard garlic press. But admit it: that thing is difficult to clean, isn’t it? That’s not the case with this garlic press. Plus, you can crush several cloves at once. No more smelly hands, but plenty of chopped garlic: perfect.
4. Handy popcorn maker (€ 19.40)
In the category: not strictly necessary, but fun to have. Fill this popcorn maker with corn, put it in the microwave, and… that’s it. You take out a sort of teapot filled with popcorn. It’s simply cute too, don’t you think?
5. Automatic lid opener (€ 18.42)
Recently I was completely frustrated because I couldn’t possibly get the lid off a glass jar. My hands were just too greasy, I felt as limp as a dishcloth; I simply couldn’t get it to budge. Extra panic: the boyfriend with his strong muscles wasn’t home either. Luckily, your boyfriend can stay out all he wants when you get this lid opener. Press a button and the robot simply pulls the lid off the jar. If only I’d had this years ago—it would have saved me a lot of panic attacks.

Okay, maybe we shouldn’t be thinking about ice pops just yet. But before you know it, it’ll thankfully be sunny and warm outside again. With these freezer bags, you can make your own popsicles—the kind you definitely remember from your childhood. Fill them with whatever you like (yogurt works too, for a sort of smoothie pop) and freeze them in your freezer. There are 125 in one box, so you’ll be set for the entire summer, I’d say.
7. Reusable, dishwasher-safe freezer bags (€ 14.55)
You probably know those plastic freezer bags. They’re called ziplock bags. We usually use them once because you can’t get them clean afterward. These freezer bags can simply go in the dishwasher. Even better: they can also go in the microwave. Handy, right? A great bonus is that they’re 100% watertight. So you can put your lunch in one and pop it in your bag.
8. Beans that clean your bottles (€ 6.40)
These beans are truly genius. They may look a little strange at first, but believe me: they work wonders. You probably have drinking bottles at home with a narrow neck that are impossible to clean properly. Your dish brush simply won’t fit inside. These beans do it for you! Put them in the bottle with some water, shake well, and the bottle becomes completely clean again. Great, especially because you really don’t want to put your plastic bottle in the dishwasher anymore just like that.
9. Heated mat for food (€ 58.23)
These mats replace your standard trivets. But they do more. As you may have already read in the title, they also keep your food warm. Ideal if you’re hosting a buffet. Or if you want to have an elaborate dinner but don’t want the food on the table to get cold. Very well thought out again.

Nightmare: you think you’re being cool and fun by opening a bottle of wine for your friends, but everything goes completely wrong.
