10x utterly nonsensical plastic supermarket packaging

Do you ever find yourself amazed by all the packaging materials in the supermarket? Well, we can tell you that things are even worse in many countries! Here, a storm of criticism erupted when cooked, peeled eggs suddenly appeared on the shelves in plastic containers (because people no longer knew how to peel eggs or something?), but imagine coming across THESE things in the store…

Because it seems that manufacturers severely underestimate people’s willingness to do anything themselves for their food (such as, um, peel a banana). Or they simply have delusions about when plastic is useful. Look and shudder (or laugh your head off), and if this ever blows over here: protest! What were these manufacturers thinking??

“You know what, let’s cut the bell peppers into quarters, exactly the size that still leaves you unable to do anything with them and means you have to cut them further yourself, and put everything in its own little bag” :

“We think organic is very important, but we also think those pre-peeled garlic cloves should be nice and safely wrapped in two layers of plastic” :

Strawberries, sure, but do they all really need to be lying in their own royal little beds?!

Ewwww. This just looks unappetizing, doesn’t it? And how did anyone come up with the idea that this is better packaging than a banana peel?!

Good grief… No, why not put every potato in its own layer of plastic? Why??

Completely baffling. And absurdly expensive! Who wants this??

“It would be so sad for that can of Coke if everyone had plastic packaging and it didn’t” :

Completely off the rails. Grapes. I repeat: grapes.

“How about you chop two sprigs of parsley, and then I’ll put them in a very large plastic container so we can also snicker loudly at how those idiots will try to scrape it all out” :

And, as an unfortunate final entry, one from our own country; ‘let’s use a huge amount of plastic and then spray water all over it’. What??
