It’s difficult to determine exactly where this trend started, but at some point dishes began being served in all kinds of restaurants on a square slate. As if you’re eating from a bathroom tile—and the scraping sound of cutlery on that stone surface isn’t exactly a joy either. And if it had stopped there, nobody would have complained.
