9x even crazier eating habits: surely they can’t be true?

Do you lick your chips to make more salt stick to them? Dip your grilled cheese sandwich in syrup? Or spread a thick layer of mayonnaise on your mashed-banana sandwich? You know what, you do you, as long as we don’t have to eat along.

Think you’re completely normal, and then suddenly you find out that spreading peanut butter on your fish sticks, or sticking extra salt to your tortilla chips, is actually pretty unusual. Some people have such bizarre eating habits, as the responses to the simple question on Twitter once again proved: ‘What weird eating habits do you have that you didn’t even know were strange?’

Savory, part 2
I learned this from my father: lick tortilla chips so they become extra sticky, then dip them in salt. We did this in restaurants too.

Skin and hair
My father never removed the tops from strawberries; he ate the whole thing. For years, I thought that was how you were supposed to eat them.

Combo deal?
I once ordered a margarita and a glass of milk at the bar. Everyone thought that was weird and disgusting.

Salt and lemon
At my house, we eat lemons with salt on them. Some family members eat the peel too. I didn’t realize that was weird until I was in the upper years of secondary school.

Try it first

1. Peanut butter and sriracha on toast, with soft-boiled eggs
2. Orange wedges with salt and Tabasco
