Adidas launches sushi sneakers
The sneakers of our dreams have just become reality. The food-sneaker category—you know we’re following it closely—is expanding with a particularly special new addition: the sushi sneaker.
After the pizza, coffee and McDonald’s sneakers, it’s now Adidas’s turn to launch a real food sneaker. And they’re doing it with iconic white Stan Smiths featuring embroidered nigiri and maki. The shoes you’ll immediately drop into your online shopping cart as a sushi fan.
Olympic Games in Tokyo
Adidas’s new shoes were initially designed for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, which were scheduled for the coming summer. Now, like all other events, the world’s biggest sporting event is not going ahead because of coronavirus. Fortunately, you can still show off your love of sushi this summer, because the sushi sneaker is simply available to buy.
Side note
The only downside… big feet = bad luck. If you wear size 38 or smaller, lucky you. Otherwise, like me, you’ll unfortunately have to wait until these fabulous sushi sneakers become available in larger sizes.
