Albert Heijn launches own-brand vegetarian chicken breast

Good news for vegetarians: from next week, Albert Heijn is introducing its own-brand plain vegetarian chicken breast.

I love chicken breast. But with a vegetarian son, it’s great that there will soon also be a vegetarian chicken breast on the shelves of Ap. It was only a matter of time before you could buy not only own-brand vegetarian chicken pieces, but also whole vegetarian chicken breasts. Albert Heijn is the first to bring its own-brand version to the market.
Unique bite
The product consists of soy and wheat, contains added iron and vitamin B12, and costs € 2,49. Ties Leeksma, Category Manager Vega(n) at Albert Heijn, is proud to be the first retailer to include this product in its range. ‘We genuinely stand behind the quality of this product. Try it for yourself now and be surprised by its unique bite.’
Extra tip: bread it deliciously. An added benefit: you no longer have to remove those white strings from your chicken breast.
