Amsterdam Noord has a new hotspot: Sammie Sangria (psssst… on a boat!)

We’ve been shouting it from the rooftops for a while now: Amsterdam Noord is where it’s happening, people. The latest initiative: all-day hotspot Sammie Sangria. Chilling on the Veronica ship all day long with live entertainment, swimming, cold beers, large jugs of sangria, cocktails and delicious food: if that doesn’t sound like music to your ears, we don’t know what will.

Golden trio
Sammie Sangria is an initiative by the guys behind Kopstootbar, in collaboration with Sjefietshe and Spanish gin brand Gin Mare. A golden trio that guarantees delicious food and drinks. Add the location to the mix (hello: boat!), with no fewer than three terraces (!!), a deck on the water, plenty of live entertainment—and you get it: you can easily spend the whole day here.

Sjefietshe? Don’t I know that from somewhere?
You probably do! Sjefietshe is Amsterdam slang for ceviche, the originally Peruvian dish of fresh fish, cured in citrus juices such as lime and lemon, and seasoned with garlic, chili pepper, onions and coriander. Incredibly delicious, especially when it’s warm outside. At this cheerful spot in Amsterdam’s De Pijp, you can enjoy wonderful food (and the takeaway meal is excellent too!), so we’re delighted that there’s a new place to enjoy these treats.
