At Ter Marsch & Co in Amsterdam, you can eat amazing burgers in an amazing interior

Do you also get intensely happy from a good hamburger? Then pop into the completely renovated hamburger restaurant Ter Marsch & Co in the heart of Amsterdam. Not only will you find incredibly delicious burgers, the interior is also a feast for the eyes!

When you step into Ter Marsch & Co on Amsterdam’s Vijzelstraat, you won’t know where to look first. The interior is extravagant and colorful, and the charming corners and benches create the relaxed vibe that suits this burger joint perfectly. Truly different, but still wonderfully accessible! The absolute eye-catcher is the large island bar surrounded by flowers, which obviously refer to the adjacent Flower Market.

Ter Marsch & Co opened at this location (in Hotel NH Collection Amsterdam Flower Market) as a pop-up in 2016, but reopened a few months ago as a permanent location after a gigantic makeover. Yes!
From Korean burger to vegan burger
Now for the burgers, because that’s what you come for, of course! From the Lady Burger and the Hot & Smokey to the Oh Cheesus, burger lovers won’t be disappointed here. The absolute highlight is the Korean The Gojira, made with, among other things, dry-aged rib eye and Japanese wagyu beef. That this burger is highly recommended is clear: in January, experts named it the Best Hamburger in the Netherlands (the sweet potato fries with truffle were also named the Best Fries in the Netherlands that same week!).

Would you rather go vegan? Then try the Natural Happiness, made with, among other things, roasted beetroot, Remeker cheese, hazelnut crumble and buckwheat, paired with a delicious cocktail. And finish with the vegan Snickers brownie, featuring chocolate, peanut ice cream and caramel sauce.

Homemade brioche bun
One more thing about those hamburgers. The brioche buns are baked in the restaurant’s own bakery, ‘Bakkerij Ter Marsch by Edwin Klaassen’, on the outskirts of Rotterdam. What goes into this ideal, airy yet sturdy hamburger bun? Wheat flour, fresh free-range eggs, butter and whole milk. Without the addition of artificial fragrances, colors or flavors. A full year was spent developing this ultimate bun, with fantastic results!

Amsterdam and Rotterdam
Ter Marsch & Co was founded by Pim de Lange, Michael van Bruggen, Gerhar Nag and Olaf Oldenburg and also has a location on Witte de Withstraat in Rotterdam. At the 2019 Entree Awards, Hotel NH Collection Amsterdam Flower Market, which includes Ter Marsch & Co, won in the Best Restyling category.
