Best Product of the Year 2023: ALDI’s own-brand products win awards once again
Anyone who occasionally shops at ALDI knows it: you can buy incredibly tasty own-brand products here—and often for much less than at other supermarkets. I always throw a few packs of Mama Mancini fresh filled pasta into my cart (tip!). So it’s no surprise that ALDI’s own-brand products have won awards once again. 13 products from the discounter were voted best in their categories and declared winners in the ‘Best Product of the Year 2023’ and ‘Chosen Own-Brand Product of the Year 2023’ product awards.
A total of 223 products competed, and almost 50,000 consumers rated their favorite product via the ‘Best Product of the Year’ website. The 13 winning products from Aldi will be added to ALDI’s list of good and best-tested products, better known as Trots van ALDI. And here they are:
7x winner of ‘Best Product of the Year 2023’
ALDI’s butcher’s smoked sausage, smoked chicken breast, Moreno Lungo Classic coffee capsules, Milsani whole chocolate milk, River Zero Cola, Schultenbräu IPA and Ombia Med soap-free washing lotion were voted ‘Best Product of the Year 2023’. These products were assessed on value for money, product presentation and user satisfaction. Repeat purchases and product recommendations are also taken into account in the assessment.
6x winner of ‘Chosen Own-Brand Product of the Year 2023’
The own brands were assessed during the annual awards based on four important criteria: appeal, degree of innovation, purchase intent and the product test. ALDI’s sliced roast beef, grilled plain chicken breast, Molenland mature 48+ cheese, Schultenbräu IPA, UNA liquid white aqua touch detergent and UNA pure & soft fabric softener won an award. These 6 products may carry the title ‘Own-Brand Product of the Year 2023’ for an entire year.
