Wow: this Aldi burger and chicken nuggets are just like those from McDonald’s
It would genuinely make me intensely happy if I could eat a Big Mac at home whenever I wanted. So I wouldn’t have to go to McDonald’s for it. Sure, you have UberEATS, but I’m never really satisfied when they arrive. The temperature is very medium, not to mention the fries, which have somehow become even floppier.
No, I’d simply like to make a Big Mac myself, in my own kitchen. Absolutely ideal for those hungover mornings when all you want to do is devour something greasy and salty. Well, it seems there’s a way to do just that—and the solution lies with Aldi.
Aldi’s Big Stack
A small downside, which I’ll get out of the way immediately: Aldi in the Netherlands doesn’t have this yet. Emphasis on ‘yet’, because I believe in manifesting, so I’m busy manifesting these products onto our shelves. The similarities between the famous Big Mac and Aldi’s version—the Big Stack—are impossible to miss. Even the lettering is almost identical. I do immediately wonder how McDonald’s approves this, because it is such an obvious copy.
You can find more than just the Big Stack at Aldi, by the way: there are also Chicken Nuggets. And once again, they have the same lettering as our beloved Maccie nuggets. In fact, both products also come with sauce, which you have to heat in a bain-marie. And the people who have tasted it are unanimous: it tastes suspiciously much like the Big Mac sauce that we know and love.
Putting it to the test
Because unfortunately we still can’t buy these products (with the emphasis still on ‘yet’!), we’ll have to rely on social media users to test them for us. Aldi’s Big Stack is missing a few ingredients, such as pickles, lettuce and onion. But of course, you can simply get those at home. Watching these videos is genuinely making me very hungry. Aldi, come on: give us the Big Stack and the Chicken Nuggets too. If you happen to be going to England soon, be sure to bring them back: they are available on the shelves there.
