Burger King Thailand launches burger made of nothing but meat

No idea what they’re thinking over at Burger King in Thailand, but they really do come up with the most bizarre creations. And honestly, every single one of them sounds absolutely unappetizing to me. Last week, for example, they came up with The Real Cheeseburger, aka a hamburger bun filled with twenty slices of processed Cheddar cheese. And now? Now it’s time for The Real Meat Burger.

Yep, you guessed it: a hamburger bun with nothing but meat in between.

You can make it as crazy as you want

And those layers of meat? You can choose them yourself. The ‘standard’ version comes with three layers of meat (in other words, three beef patties) and costs around €8.84. That already sounds like more than enough to me, but fans can add as many patties as they want. Each extra patty costs approximately €2.61. So you can make it as crazy as you want, but personally, I already feel queasy at the thought. Not even a single leaf of lettuce? A sad little slice of pickle? Or… sauce?

Nope, although of course you can add that yourself if you want to. But I don’t think that’s quite the idea of fast food—that you still have to add the ingredients yourself. Yes, this is just another marketing stunt by Burger King, and as far as I’m concerned, they can keep this one nicely in Thailand. Although I would love to have the pink Barbie menu in the Netherlands — but for now, it’s only available in Brazil.

Burger with so much meat…

And, in case you’re wondering how crazy you can make this burger: very crazy indeed. They show you themselves: this is what The Real Meat Burger looks like with 100 patties. That will set you back around €261 and give you the biggest post-dinner slump anyone has ever experienced, but hey: it might make a fun story to tell later.
