Burger King’s Whopper goes vegan

That vegan food is only boring and healthy is, of course, outdated news by now. Because even if you eat vegan, every now and then (or very often) you simply have an incredible craving for snacks. Now I’m in luck, because living in Amsterdam, I regularly visit the Vegan Junk Food Bar.

But if you don’t have a VJFB nearby and are really craving a vegan burger… Burger King’s got your back. And of course, their first fully plant-based burger (thanks to De Vegetarische Slager!) could be nothing other than a version of their best-known burger, their gem, the apple of their eye, their pride: the Whopper.
What can you expect? Well, actually exactly the same ingredients as on the familiar Whopper, but vegan. So yes, vegan mayonnaise on the fully plant-based burger. Just a mini disclaimer: the vegan Whopper is grilled on the same grill as the regular Whopper, so there may be traces of beef on your vegan burger. Ouch.
Where is the nearest Burger King?
Those are indeed the questions that matter right now. And the very best news is that this isn’t a limited edition or another case of it only being available at a few locations. Nope, the plant-based Whopper is simply available at all locations. And to be completely honest, I often go for the Big Mac, but I want to try this one. And at Burger King they do have curly fries, so yeah… 1 + 1 = 2. Burger King, I’m coooooming.
