Divinely delicious: this Flügel cupcake recipe

Flugel cupcakes 3

Is there anything that screams ‘partying’ more than a Flügel at your lips, with the red cap on your nose? I don’t think so. Although, with these Flügel cupcakes, you can really turn it into a gigantic blowout party.

The Flügel is the ultimate party highlight at every celebration. The life of the party. Pass around a box of Flügel and the starting signal for doing the conga, hanging from the lights and dancing on the table has been given—yes, I live in Brabant. The more Flügel, the better, so these cupcakes should not be missing from your next party.

How to make Flügel cupcakes

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees (fan-assisted).
  2. Divide the cupcake cases over the baking tin.
  3. Mix the butter until creamy.
  4. Add the eggs, cupcake mix and 4 Flügel to the butter.
  5. Mix this for approximately 4 minutes until you have a smooth batter.
  6. Divide the batter among the cupcake cases.
  7. Fill the cases to 2/3 full.
  8. Place the Flügel cupcakes in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes.
  9. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely.

Preparing the topping:

  1. Put the Crème Chantilly in a bowl.
  2. Add the milk and 7 Flügel.
  3. Optionally, add a few drops of food colouring.
  4. Mix for 3 minutes until you have a light and firm cream.

Finishing the cupcakes:

  1. Place the piping nozzle in the piping bag and cut off the end of the bag.
  2. Put the Flügel Crème Chantilly in a piping bag.
  3. Pipe the cupcakes as desired.
  4. Add a few sugar pearls for decoration.
  5. Fill the pipettes with Flügel.
  6. Insert these into the cupcakes as decoration.

Want more of the red stuff? How about Flügel bitterballen, Flügel Marshmallow Shots and Flügel oliebollen? I know what the theme of your party will be. It starts with an F.
