Turning your favorite item on the snack board into your dream job. Of course, that sounds too good to be true, but what if I told you that it really is possible?

Because for the unlucky ones who missed out on the full-time paid job as a shot taster, there’s a new dream job alert. One that finally lets you get away from that desk and put your taste buds to work after all their hard work.

Tasting cheese as a job

But it gets even better. Because this time it’s not about drinking wine or eating fried foods but, yes, TASTING CHEESE. Hallelujah! For a dairy study at the University of Wisconsin in the United States, they’re looking for genuine cheese fanatics. The study is all about tasting cheese—whether it’s blue, runny, creamy, firm, young, or aged.

For a decent $15 per hour, you’ll need to taste 24 different types of cheese and 12 different pizzas per week as a cheese taster. Uh, easy. Your main responsibility? Describing the appearance, texture, and flavor of the cheese. Each session is followed by a cheese evaluation with your fellow tasters.

Plenty of cheese

There are around 135 spots available for the study. The only thing is that you have to live in America, sigh. But the fact that a job like this exists at all gives us plenty of hope for a similar opportunity here in our country in the future. Plenty of cheese, right?
