But anyway, if you’re a little harder to impress, this might be for you. A former McDonald’s employee spilled the beans about the ‘secret items’ on the menu. Disclaimer: he worked at an American McDonald’s, so it remains to be seen whether everything works the same way here. Fingers crossed.
Does a ‘secret menu’ even exist?
Well, the anonymous former employee answers that right away: no. Bummer. So whichever location you visit with a request for a secret item, it entirely depends on which employee you happen to get. And whether they’re willing to grant your strange request. If they are, you might just get a perfect Land, Sea and Air Burger. In other words, a combination of beef, fish and chicken.
But there is a silver lining!
Even though that menu doesn’t officially exist, employees generally do their best to make you happy. So if you read about the Monster Mac somewhere, you can of course order it by that name—but it’s best simply to say what you want (which actually works more often in life). In this case, ask for a Big Mac with eight (EIGHT?!) patties, extra cheese, extra Big Mac sauce and extra pickles.
As a final tip, this employee adds that the very best secret items are much simpler: mixing McCafé items with McDonald’s items. So get a little creative—you might just come up with a brilliant discovery like this delicious MacHack.
