For all cheese lovers! The first Amsterdam Cheese Festival is coming

If, like us, you’re a huge cheese lover, then the first Amsterdam Cheese Festival is definitely for you! You can eat unlimited cheese here, from all over the world, and at an amazing location to boot. So go ahead and mark this date in October in bold in your calendar!

Anyone who knows us even a little knows that we can’t imagine life without cheese. In fact, we’re always looking for ways to get even more cheese into our lives. True love, to us, is receiving a cheese bouquet on Valentine’s Day, a cheese toastie can never be too crazy for us (hello, Gruyère and red wine toastie!), and a drinks party is only complete with homemade cheese sticks and spicy cheese bitterballen. A festival to celebrate our love of cheese simply had to happen.

We’re organising the very first Amsterdam Cheese Festival together with our favourite cheese affineur: Kaasfort Amsterdam, from the renowned cheese shops Bourgondisch Lifestyle in Amsterdam and Beverwijk. What can you expect?

Cheese, cheese and more cheese

From creamy burrata, velvety Vacherin Mont d’Or, hard Gruyère and everything in between; at the Amsterdam Cheese Festival, you can not only taste and buy the most delicious cheeses from the best cheesemongers (who will be there themselves), but there will also be cheese quizzes (with fun prizes—boost your chances of winning with our cheese quiz!), cheese masterclasses and other cheesy surprises on the programme. And of course, there will be plenty of delicious drinks available to wash it all down.

The location: Posthoorn Church in Amsterdam

The Amsterdam Cheese Festival will take place in the Posthoorn Church, a beautiful and unique venue on the lively Haarlemmerstraat, within walking distance of Central Station. This church was designed by Pierre Cuypers, who also designed Central Station, the Vondelkerk and the Rijksmuseum.

Date and ticketing

The Amsterdam Cheese Festival will take place on Sunday 24 October and Monday 25 October 2021. (Please note: this is one week later than the date mentioned previously.) Sunday is for consumers and Monday is for trade visitors, but you are very welcome on that day too. Information about ticket sales will follow soon!
