For all cheese lovers: you can now live in an old cheese factory

Anyone happen to be looking for a new place for the coming year? We’ve got you, because we’ve found another gem of a house on Funda. This time, an old cheese factory. Cheese lovers ready? Start bidding!

Whether they’re filled with bitterballen, we dip a piece of bread into it, or you scrape the drippings off the board and spread them on your cracker: everything made with and from cheese is delicious. So what’s the ideal home for a cheese lover through and through? Exactly: a gigantic old cheese factory.
Spectacular home
Just a stone’s throw from the Drenthe village of Meppel lies the historic old cheese factory from 1894. From the outside, the building is still almost exactly as it was back then, including the chimney, name on the facade and loading areas for the trucks. Over the years, the place has of course been updated here and there. Instead of one large warehouse with machinery and storage areas, it has been transformed into a home with a total of 6 rooms and 1 bathroom, plus an incredible view over the Drenthe meadows.
The smell of fresh young matured cheese and butter probably won’t linger there anymore, but that doesn’t make the place any less spectacular. Interested? For a price of 550,000 euros, the place could be yours. It’s not cheap, but hey, at least you’ll be living in a prime location!
