Guillaume de Beer always takes a detour for these fries
He has since traded Breda for the capital, but chef Guillaume de Beer still has a few regular spots he always visits when he’s in the south.

“A wine bar in the heart of Breda where you can eat as well. Chef Daan de Brouwer used to work with us; they have an eight-course menu with all sorts of things. Somewhat comparable to what we used to do at Daalder and Breda.”

“But to be honest, I always just go to Frietkot Jori, just across the border in Hoogstraten, Belgium. They make such delicious fries that we always take a detour for them.”
