Huh: customer finds strange code on Lidl blueberries
It’s honestly one of my worst nightmares: that you’re completely unsuspectingly eating something you bought at the supermarket, only to find out there’s something wrong with it. It recently happened to a woman who found a (I’m feeling sick again just typing this) kind of lump of meat in her pack of Dubbelvla. And now a Lidl customer was in for a special surprise when he ate the blueberries he had bought at the supermarket.
He posted his discovery on Reddit, where his fellow Redditors didn’t really know what to make of it either. This Lidl customer had found a strange code on one of his blueberries.
‘What could this mean?’
The letters A, B and S were clearly engraved in his blueberry. What did this mean? ‘Abs are made in the kitchen’? Was it a secret language? A conspiracy theory? The Illuminati?!
No, unfortunately, none of that. Each punnet of blueberries gets its own unique code, and it seems that this one had the letters A, B and S in it. Most likely, there was some kind of hole in the packaging, which caused the letters to appear on the blueberry that was touching it. It looked as though they had been ‘engraved’, but that wasn’t actually the case. So it was probably something harmless, but Lidl Ireland — where these blueberries were bought — have not yet responded. So I’m keeping my Illuminati theory open for now…
