KHN and Too Good To Go: joining forces in the fight against food waste

Do you know the app Too Good To Go? This app connects consumers with businesses that do not want to waste food and offer it through the app for pickup at a reduced price. And now there is a wonderful new partnership…

Because recently, entrepreneurs affiliated with Koninklijke Horeca Nederland (KHN) have been actively informed about measures to combat food waste, and they can join Too Good To Go free of charge for a year, meaning much less of the leftover food from their kitchens needs to be thrown away.
Taking targeted action
According to KHN director Dirk Beljaarts, the hospitality industry can “make an important contribution to reducing food waste” in this way and take targeted action. “The anti-waste platform helps entrepreneurs reduce food waste, attract new guests and generate income from leftover food. And all of this in a fun and accessible way.”
Stronger together
Too Good To Go is also delighted with the partnership. “Koninklijke Horeca Nederland has a large number of members. These are all places where food may occasionally be wasted. Through our partnership with Koninklijke Horeca Nederland, we hope to inspire a new network of restaurant owners to take action against food waste. Together, we can reduce waste!”, says Country Manager Geertje Zeegers. In any case, we wish the parties a fruitful partnership!
