Do you also feel happy when you bite into a delicious, juicy burger bursting with flavour from its bun? Then you really have to try this award-winning burger soon! Ter Marsch & Co’s burger was already the big winner of the Best Hamburger 2020 at Horecava, and now it has won another massive prize.

Ter Marsch & Co also took home the win at the Best Burger Benelux final on 13 October at BBB in MECC Maastricht. It’s hardly surprising that they once again left a hundred contenders behind in Maastricht; ‘The Gojira’, as this burger is called, is served on two small steamed buns with a patty (in other words, the meat disc) made from dry-aged rib eye and Japanese Wagyu beef – the meat that makes meat lovers start drooling at the mere sight of the word.

A true explosion of flavour

In addition to Wagyu, the burger is topped with sweet-and-sour baby cucumber, pulled pork, roasted pork belly, red onion, the citrus fruit yuzu, manuka honey, gochujang sauce (made from fermented beans) and nori cassava chips. Yes, that’s quite a mouthful, and the five-member jury was highly impressed. The jury described the burger as a true explosion of flavour: original, surprising and perfectly balanced, with an incredible presentation in a steamer basket. The ‘sliders’ are a little smaller and are served two at a time. This makes them very easy to eat.

The award-winning ‘The Gojira’ is available at the Rotterdam and Amsterdam locations of Ter Marsch & Co, served in an Asian steamer basket and in portions of two.
