Magnum launches a new flavor: Magnum Ruby

Magnum Ruby

Despite the rain pouring down outside, seeing these new Magnums suddenly makes us want to run outside in our bikinis. Yes, MagnumS, because this year they’re launching not one, but three (!) new flavors.

Pink chocolate

First up is the Magnum Ruby. Ruby chocolate — the biggest innovation in the chocolate world since the discovery of white chocolate eighty years ago — is a fourth type of chocolate, after dark, milk and white. The Ruby cocoa bean was developed into edible chocolate by Barry Callebaut, the world’s largest chocolate manufacturer. A process that took more than ten years. In 2017, ‘Millennial pink’ chocolate (Ruby, that is) was launched. The characteristic berry flavor and pink color emerge through the production process of the Ruby cocoa bean. It creates a completely new taste experience, free from added colors and flavorings.

The flavor

Magnum is therefore the first ice cream brand in Europe to sell an ice cream bar covered in pink chocolate: Ruby chocolate and a creamy filling of white chocolate ice cream with a raspberry swirl. Alongside the Magnum Ruby, two other new flavors will appear this year: the Double Chocolate and Salted Caramel & Glazed Almonds. One is filled with panna cotta ice cream and strawberry sauce, while the other features salted caramel ice cream, caramel swirls and glazed almonds.

The Magnum Ruby will be available from March 9. We’ll have to wait a little longer for the other two flavors, just as we’ll have to wait for the sun, unfortunately…
