Mulled beer and beer doughnuts: Breda is hosting the biggest Christmas Beer Market in the Netherlands

Beer and Christmas fans, listen up! On Sunday, December 17, you need to be in Breda. Beer brewery Frontaal is organizing a genuine Christmas Beer Market—the biggest in the Netherlands. That means a whole day of beer tasting in a wonderfully festive atmosphere.

Anyone who knows Breda a little: Frontaal was located for a long time on the Faam site, directly behind the station. The brewery recently moved to a different location, namely The Bay (behind Hornbach). December 17 will also be the first day that the brewery’s new location opens its doors to the public. Festive indeed, with a Christmas Beer Market!
Mulled beer and beer doughnuts
It promises to be a day filled with—yes, exactly—beer and Christmas. You can taste all kinds of beers from the past year, from Tripels to IPAs. But what I’m secretly looking forward to most is the mulled beer. Mulled wine, but in the form of beer?! That sounds like my new signature drink. There will also be plenty of delicious food. Bitterballen (because beer and bitterballen) will undoubtedly be available, but also beer doughnuts. The chefs from Kolenmeesters will fry them until golden brown on the 17th. I don’t know about you, but I’m finding the program more appealing by the minute.
Brewery tour
Besides strolling along the Christmas beer stalls, you can also take a tour of the brewery itself. You’ll see where and how Frontaal’s beers are brewed. Fun! Feel free to explore on your own or sign up for one of the two tours. They take place at 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The Christmas Beer Market by beer brewery Frontaal will take place on Sunday, December 17, from 1:00–6:00 p.m. Address: Steenen Hoofd 56. For more information, visit frontaalbrewingcompany.nl.
