New chocolate bars at Albert Heijn: four delicious flavors
Coming soon to the shelves of Albert Heijn: the new flavors from Hands Off chocolate. Filled bars in four different flavors, inspired by the world cities of Dubai, Amsterdam, Milan and New York. These bars are not only delicious in terms of flavor, but also in terms of shape and composition.
Four new bars
Hands Off’s luxury chocolate bars are not just any bars. They combine plant-based fillings with crunchy textures. And yes, those fillings aren’t necessarily original, because by now we’re all familiar with the Dubai bar with pistachio — in fact, last year even ‘Get lost with your Dubai bar’ chocolate appeared — and a chocolate bar filled with speculoos isn’t new either.
What is new is that these bars are plant-based. They are made from ChoViva, a cocoa alternative based on sunflower seeds. And yes, they’re genuinely delicious — even if you love real chocolate. What I personally really like about Hands Off’s bars is that they don’t consist of square pieces, but circles — and that feels surprisingly good in your mouth!
Dubai Pistachio: smooth and crunchy
The filling consists of a creamy pistachio cream surrounded by crispy kadayif (a type of shredded filo pastry from the Middle East). Every bite is reminiscent of a bonbon, but in bar form. Available for €4.99.
Amsterdam Speculoos: a Dutch twist
The Amsterdam Speculoos bar is an ode to classic speculoos. This bar has a soft speculoos filling and is finished with crunchy pieces of speculoos. A delicious choice for speculoos lovers! Available for €3.99.
Milano Hazelnut: for hazelnut fans
This bar is a great choice for anyone who enjoys an Italian classic, but in a plant-based version. Available for €3.99.
New York Peanut Butter: with crunchy peanuts
The New York Peanut Butter is a bar with a soft peanut butter filling and crunchy peanut pieces. Available for €3.99.
Hands Off chocolate bars: where to buy them
The new Hands Off chocolate bars will be available at Albert Heijn from October 20. The Dubai Pistachio costs €4.99, while the Amsterdam Speculoos, Milano Hazelnut and New York Peanut Butter each cost €3.99. These new bars will soon also be available at other stores in the Netherlands, but for now, head to Albert Heijn for these bars.
