Thirsty tales

OH YES: Baileys has a new flavor: Colada

Baileys colada

We already couldn’t wait for summer to come around again, but now we really can’t wait any longer. Baileys is launching a new flavor, and it’s utterly summery. And that new flavor… is… Colada!

By now, it’s clear that Baileys likes to think along with the seasons. Last autumn, the makers of the creamy liqueur came out with an apple pie variant, and in winter we shook Espresso Martinis with Baileys Salted Caramel. But now the sun is on its way, and sunshine means cocktails—and the Piña Colada just happens to be one of my favorites, alongside Piña Colada Mimosas.

Easy cocktail

The new Baileys tastes like creamy coconut with a hint of fresh pineapple. For example, make a Baileys Colada Cocktail with it:

Here’s what you need:
100 ml Baileys Colada
2 cups frozen pineapple
Ice

Put everything together in a blender and blend until smooth. Optionally, garnish the glass with a slice of pineapple and the pineapple leaves. Also irresistible: some Baileys Colada poured over ice cream.

One sip, one bite, and you’ll imagine yourself on a dazzling white beach beneath a palm tree in no time.

Where to get it

Colada was first launched in the United States. And now we can buy it in the Netherlands too. You can pick up a bottle, for example, at drankdozijn. A bottle costs €17.95 there.
