Oldtimers launches a new coconut-flavored liquorice (and it’s delicious!)

Oldtimers kokosdrop

Before corona, there was a liquorice jar on my desk in the editorial office that was always frighteningly empty in no time. Kilos flew through it every week. Now everyone snacks sensibly from their own little bowl, and I already know what mine will be filled with for the time being: Oldtimers’ new coconut liquorice. What a fantastic little sweet!

New packaging

Oldtimers has revamped its packaging (almost understatedly old-school), which turned out to be reason for a celebration. And, how could it be otherwise, that came in the form of a new liquorice sweet. With coconut flavor. And although I wasn’t immediately cheering at the idea, after just one sweet I was completely won over.

Sweet-and-salty sugar coating

In addition to gum arabic and liquorice root, the new sweet also contains coconut water and a sweet-and-salty sugar coating. Fortunately, the coconut flavor is not overpowering but subtly present, so you mainly taste the liquorice.

The new summery coconut Seasonal Liquorice is available at Albert Heijn in a 225-gram box (and costs €2.29). Stock up quickly!
